The image below shows a number of almost horizontal lines embossed with the Tiger embosser. The purpose of this picture is to illustrate as well as possible for sighted people how Tiger's ability to print 3d graphics can "smooth" kinks in lines so that things can feel smoother than one might think possible at 20 dot per inch resolution.
Black dots are embossed at maximum height, and the lighter the dot the lower the embossed dot. This particular file was made in CorelDraw because the person who made it finds CorelDraw easiest to use for such things. It could equally well be made in just about any decent graphics authoring program including MS Word.
The lines vary from a width of 3 to 10 points. Tactually I find a noticeable dip in the transition region between the lower and higher portion of this slightly slanted line when the line is only 3 points wide. The dip is evident but not nearly as pronounced in the 4 point wide line. The remaining lines feel quite smooth to me.
